About EHI
"When the battle ends, their real war begins..."
The Mother of Israel's Security Wounded Servicemembers offers to each wounded person assistance and moral support in his/her desperately long, hard struggle towards recovery and rehabilitation.
The Mother of Israel's Wounded Servicemembers The Mother of Israel's Wounded Servicemembers (Em Haptsu'im) is a 3 decades grassroots effort, spearheaded by Israeli volunteers who help severely wounded Israel Defense Combatants and Soldiers who have sustained severe, long term, long recovery-time injuries. These wounds require much more hospitalization and rehabilitation before they are processed by a Board to medically discharge them. This society takes care of servicemembers who are hospitalized as a result of their service in the Gaza Strip, the West Bank, the Lebanese border and as a result of terror inside Israel. Among its other responsibilities, it helps purchase items of comfort, recreation and necessity requested by those in the military hospitals for long term rehabilitation. Among our volunteers and friends are: Mrs. Re'uma Weizmann, wife of former Israeli President Ezer Weizmann, Avigdor Kahalani, Israel's Hero, former Minister and IDF Brigadier General, Menachem Einan, IDF Major General, Yossi Peled, IDF Major General and many other servicemembers.
Let’s not forget Israel’s Brave Heroes!
With The Wounded Servicemembers All The Time, All The Way To help a wounded servicemember and relieve his or her distress is a difficult undertaking. In addition to financial support, the organization has found a number of ways through which we can get closer to the wounded servicemembers in order to be with them all the way:
- Personal visits at the hospital to provide mental and moral support.
- Cultural events and entertainment for the wounded servicemembers and their families.
- Sports and recreation activities.
- Support workshops for the wounded servicemembers and their families.
- Supply of laptop computers to the wounded servicemembers at the rehabilitation wards.
- Lobbying in support of the Wounded Servicemember Bill.
Additionally, the organization promotes numerous projects, including:
- Establishment of a rehabilitation center for combat fatigue and post trauma cases.
- Wounded Servicemembers for Wounded Servicemembers- workshops training for rehabilitated wounded servicemembers so that they may help other, recently wounded servicemembers.
- Empowerment workshops for the wounded servicemembers and their families.
